IV Therapy & Blood Withdrawal Certification Course

We do ask that you chose a date when registering, however this is not required. You will have until the end of the calendar year to complete your hands-on training.

The study guide will be emailed to you within 24 hours after payment. You will be required to study this curriculum for no less than 72 hours prior to your hands-on training date. This virtual, online classroom will contain important Powerpoint Presentations and Case Study Discussions. You WILL NOT BE PERMITTED to attend a hands-on training session in less than 72 hours after receiving the course materials. .

Upon your arrival, your instructor will review all of the curriculum from your study materials. Students will then be administered a proctored exam. 

We believe that the best way to learn is by doing. That's why our classes are designed to be hands-on and interactive. During your one full day of hands-on training, you will practice on intravenous models under supervision and guidance from your instructor. Once you feel adequately prepared, you will then attempt your 3 live starts and 3 live draws on your VOLUNTEER proxy(s).  Each student must complete a minimum of three individually supervised successful venipunctures and three individually supervised skin punctures (capillary blood withdrawal) on live human proxies. 

Students are required to schedule 1 or more volunteers to arrive for the live session. These volunteer friends/colleagues/family members will sign a waiver and the live session will begin. Your instructor will closely monitor your progress. Upon passing, you will be administered your certificate (if you are a graduate) and will then be dismissed. If you are still a student in nursing school, your certificate will be held until you graduate.

There will never be more than a ratio of 15:1

After completing the course with a passing grade, your information will be forwarded to the Board of Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians. Submission can take 30-60 days. Once your license has been verified, the state will generate your certificate. You will be notified by email withing 30 days of State approval. State fee is $50. Your notification email will include a paylink.

If you do not hold a valid Nursing License, your certificate will not be generated.
